PROCESS
How a check runs
- 01
Connect
The address is validated, redirects are followed hop by hop and the final page’s response is recorded.
- 02
Crawl
robots.txt and sitemaps are read; a sample of up to 20 pages on the same domain is crawled.
- 03
Check
Internal and external links, images, canonical and hreflang targets, TLS and DNS are checked.
- 04
Report
139 checks are scored and fixes prioritised; share the report or download it as a PDF.
METHOD
How is the SEO Health Score calculated?
The SEO Health Score is calculated from the technical and on-page signals measured during the crawl. Each category starts at 100; issues deduct points according to their severity and how many sampled pages they affect.
- MeasureHTTP responses, HTML, robots.txt, sitemaps and a mobile lab run
- Check139 checks: passed, warning or issue, each with evidence
- WeighSeverity × breadth; categories combine by weight
- PrioritiseCritical issues always first, then impact and reliability

TECHNICAL SEO
Crawling, indexing and canonical checks
Technical SEO is about content reaching search engines without obstacles. The checker looks at whether the page responds successfully, redirect chains and loops, meta robots and X-Robots-Tag directives, conflicting signals, and whether URLs that don’t exist really return 404 (soft 404).
Canonicals have their own category: missing, multiple or relative canonicals; canonical targets that redirect or fail; canonicals pointing to another domain, the other www form or HTTP; canonicals conflicting with hreflang, and the same page reachable under different spellings.
LINKS
Link and href checks
Every link on the crawled pages is classified: internal and external, nofollow/sponsored/ugc, mailto and tel links, in-page fragment (#) links. Empty hrefs, links that are only #, javascript: links and onclick navigation are reported separately, because search engines can’t follow them.
Internal link targets are checked one by one; broken and redirecting links appear in a table with the source page, anchor text and destination. A sample of external links is checked safely too; only 404/410 or domains that don’t resolve count as broken.
PERFORMANCE
Mobile performance measurement
Performance values come from a mobile Lighthouse lab run: a fixed device and network profile is simulated to measure LCP, CLS, TBT, FCP, Speed Index and server response time; JavaScript execution time and page weight are reported too.
A lab run is ideal for finding problems and comparing improvements. For the experience of real visitors, read it together with the Core Web Vitals report in Search Console.
AI
AI and bot access
A separate section shows whether AI-powered search and answer systems can technically reach your site: whether robots.txt allows the documented search crawlers and user-request agents of providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Apple, whether the main text is readable in the initial HTML, and structured data describing your organisation.
Blocking model-training crawlers is your site’s choice and is shown separately. llms.txt is reported for information.
READING THE RESULTS
How to read the results
The report leads with the top priorities, ranked by severity, likely impact, how many pages are affected and how reliable the check is, so a pile of minor warnings never outranks one critical issue that keeps a page out of search.
Each category is listed with its health bar, issue and pass counts; detailed checks open as expandable rows. Fix critical and high-severity issues first, then medium and low ones. Share the report by link or download it as a PDF.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the SEO check free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, it’s free and needs no account or email address. To prevent abuse, a Cloudflare Turnstile check and usage limits apply.
How is the SEO Health Score calculated?
The score is calculated from the technical and on-page signals measured during the crawl. Each of the 11 categories starts at 100; issues deduct points by severity and breadth, and categories combine by weight. Crawling and indexability carry the most weight; social tags and AI access are informational.
Does the check crawl my whole site?
It crawls a sample of up to 20 pages on the same domain, starting from the page you enter, and follows robots.txt. The report shows how many pages were crawled and discovered.
Why can mobile performance differ from Search Console?
This tool runs a Lighthouse lab measurement; Search Console shows field data collected from real users. They measure different conditions, so values can differ; reading both together gives the clearest picture.
Can I download the report as a PDF and share it?
Yes. Every report has its own unguessable link: copy and share it, or download the report as a Doruva-branded PDF. Report pages are never indexed by search engines.
What data is stored during a check?
The address you enter and the resulting report are kept for about 30 days, then deleted. The raw HTML of pages and the full Lighthouse report aren’t stored; temporary crawl files are deleted when the check finishes. Your IP address is kept only as an irreversible hash for usage limits.
Who can fix the issues found?
The recommendations are clear enough for most issues. For anything that touches your site’s infrastructure (redirects, canonical structure, performance), the Doruva team can review the report with you and plan the fixes.
Let’s read the results together.
